A home inspection is a visual inspection of all of the home's systems including
plumbing, heating, electrical, roofing, insulation and
interior and exterior structure.
All inspections are performed according to the standards of practice and code of ethics of
the
American Society of Home Inspectors. The inspection will take approximately three
hours and is very thorough. You are
encouraged to be present at the time of the inspection
and will receive a written report immediately upon completion of the inspection
along with
an estimate of major repair costs. Afterward you may call at anytime free of charge if you
have any questions about the home.
Gerardi Engineering is owned and operated by myself, John Gerardi. I have a
Bachelor of Engineering degree from
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master's degree
from Syracuse University. I am a Professional Engineer licensed to practice
in New York
State, and a NY Certified Pest Control Technician. I am also a member of
the American Society of Home Inspectors®(ASHI).
In addition to my engineering education and experience I have
also been a licensed real estate sales person and broker.
